I'm a guy in Los Angeles who develops software (mostly games, web backends, and mobile applications).
And if you're on this page you probably just want my resume and some basic information, so that's what's here. Keep scrolling. You're almost there.
Ottery Bar is my company for new games and experimental projects. I like otters, even tipsy ones.
You can download a PDF of my resume right here, or hit my LinkedIn for an exhaustive history of stuff I've worked on.
Here are some highlights:
Worked on computer vision for mobile devices with the best computer vision team in the world. I can't talk about most of it, with a few exceptions.
Started a game company with a partner and some wonderful contractors, and made a broswer game with a Rails/Mongo backend. Polygon said some nice things about it.
Contracted and later developed full-time at Visual Supply Co. Among other things, co-designed and developed the API for their social network VSCO Grid, and ported their award-winning VSCO Cam app to Android for the first time. A lot people consider it the best photo app on Android.
Twenty-one countries over fifteen months, including a three-month stopover in Mountain View working on a contract project for Zaavy.com. In case you were curious about the gap.
Software Development Engineer in Test, and eventually Test Lead, leading test teams and building automation and tools for Crackdown, Fable 2, Kinectimals, and a bunch of other games. I got to work on some of the biggest games Microsoft had ever made and that took strategies no one had developed before.
Graduated Magna Cum Laude. Interned at Atari Santa Monica. Competed in Parliamentary Debate. Played more Dead or Alive than was strictly necessary.
I often do contract dev work, so long as I don't have to relocate out of Los Angeles. Plus, I'm just a nice guy. Get in touch if you like.
